David Carrier NRP, a clinical manager at Your Doc’s In, developed an interest in public safety at a young age. He started as a volunteer firefighter; served in a pivotal role in the development of career emergency medical services; and he was the first career Advanced Life Support in Dorchester County.
Recruited by Caroline County, David worked in a department of three. In 1998, he worked with the Caroline County Fire Service, which achieved recognition as the “Outstanding Rural EMS system in the United States”.
David is a graduate of Ocean City’s Paramedic training program. David trained with the National Fire Academy. He’s certified as a pro-board Firefighter III and Fire Officer II. He graduated from the Counter Narcotic and Anti-Terrorism Medical Support program and a SWAT Medic for the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.
David worked in Dorchester and Talbot County Emergency Services. He has experience as a paramedic, firefighter and diver for Sharptown Fire Department and the Mid Shore Dive Team. In 2015, David was inducted to the Dorchester County Firefighters Hall of Fame.
A licensed Maryland Waterman and USCG Licensed Captain, David is affiliated with the American Power Boat Association as a rescue diver/medic.
Recently, David worked with the Paramedic/Field Training Office in Mobile County, Alabama.
David is happy to be back in Maryland. He was raised on the mid-shore camping, hunting and fishing. Now you can find David at Your Doc’s In or on the water aboard the “Reckless Two”.
