Pregnancy Testing

During pregnancy, a hormone called chorionic gonadotroponin (HCG) is produced. HCG is measured during a pregnancy test to determine if the woman is pregnant. HCG appears in pregnant women in the blood and urine as early as 10 days after conception. A pregnancy test can be performed through either blood or urine. Depending on the test, it can take anywhere from 1 – 2 minutes to a day to get the results.
