Billing Policies

Financial Policy

For patients with insurance

  • Your Doc’s In (YDI) is an urgent care facility
As such, we are required to bill your insurance company as one. Please notify YDI of changes in insurance coverage which may affect payment for services provided.
  • Co-payments, co-insurance and/or deductibles
These are the responsibility of the patient or responsible party and due at the time of service. Through our contract with your insurer, we are required to collect payment of deductibles and co-pays for services at the time services are rendered. For your convenience we accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
  • Written referral/authorization
It is the patient’s/responsible party’s responsibility to obtain a written referral and/or authorization if their insurance company requires the same.
  • Account Balance
Unless other arrangements are approved by YDI in writing, the balance on your account is due and payable when the statement is issued and past due if payment is not received within 60 days after adjudication by your insurance carrier. YDI will not wait until settlement of any third-party action to include auto accidents for payment of any balance remaining on the patient’s account.
  • For the safety of our patients, all patients are required to bring their insurance card and photo ID card to each visit.

For patients without insurance

Payment for services rendered is due and payable in full at the time that the services are rendered. YDI has a reduced self pay fee schedule for self pay patients. We will collect a deposit at the time of your registration. At the completion of your visit, you will then be responsible for payment of any additional amount due, or we will refund you any amount which we had over-collected.

Ancillary tests

Certain lab tests may be sent and testing performed by an outside lab. The patient/responsible party is responsible for notifying YDI of any requirement by their insurance carrier that lab work be performed by a designated lab. The billing for those services is outside of the control of YDI and between you and the lab.
